Abstract

The speech will present the forthcoming PISA assessment of Learning in the Digital World. In this assessment, students have to solve programming and modelling problems in a digital environment whet they can use resources such as worked examples, hints and intelligent feedback. The open-ended and iterative nature of the tasks provides unique opportunities to use process data to measure students’ strategic behaviour, meta-cognitive monitoring and effort regulation. The presentation will discuss an evidence-centered design approach to define relevant process data and validate their interpretation in a large-scale, international assessment.
